H-F Antidote Gel is used in the treatment of skin burns caused by Hydrofluoric Acid, (battery acid) it prevents the extraction of calcium from the wound reducing burn damage to the bone and deep tissue. H-F Antidote Gel should be stored wherever Hydrofluoric Acid is in use.
It has been conclusively shown that flushing the affected area with water for one minute and then massaging HF antidote gel into the wound until there is a cessation of pain is the most effective first aid treatment available.
